Q: Do you have anything bothering you? Not really. Need to pick up some pictures for a gift and then assemble, but ... well, okay, let's say that I do have one thing bothering me. But that's because I want it back while thinking I'm not ready to ahve it back yet. So ... that's all on me.

Q: What's your favorite month? I used to really like December, but being in it now ... not sure. June is usually pretty nice.

All of our furniture here is the same design. And for dorm stuff, it's pretty fine.

20. Last thing you bought and ended up returning?
I don't even remember if I've ever returned something. I usually think about shit a lot before I buy it, and then if it still ends up sucking, I kind of think by that point I deserve to have to live with it.

21. What perfume/cologne do you wear?
I don't really. Most of the time I just smell like my shampoo, which is cool.

22. Your favorite board game?
Sorry! Ha, I don't know man ... board games are good.

23. Last board game you played?
I played SceneIt awhile ago, if that counts .... there is a board involved!

24. Where did your vehicle come from?
Oh I don't remember the name of the lot, but it was used and somewhere back behind the whole A lkire area.

25. If a movie was made about your life what would the theme song be?
"Mouthwash" by Kate Nash.

26. You're sad, who can cheer you up easily?
A good deal of my friends, my parents, my pets, some music or movies.

27. What was the color of the bridesmaid dresses of the last wedding you went to?
Oh, I don't remember ... maroon? The color of the last one I wore was light green.

28. What house cleaning chore do you hate to do the most?
Dishes. If I don't know what's on them, I don't want to touch them. I have no problem doing mine.

29. What is your favorite way to eat chicken?
I don't eat chicken.

30. It is your birthday. You hope the cake is?
DQ Ice Cream, duh.

The "deep" stuff

Do you think you were well raised?
Yes. I think raising a human being (or anything really) is a very difficult task, so kudos to my parents for doing really well with it, I think.

Do you have a secret that you've never told ANYONE?
Yeah, but that doesn't necessarily that no one knows it ...

How do you handle stress?
Pretty well, actually. I think I went through some sort of hellish training camp (called a shitty year of life) and now I'm pretty well-equipped to deal with what seems like nothing in comparison. And compared to those I have around me to use as benchmarks, I'm off the charts for handling stress well.

How would you spend your last day alive?
Enjoying it, I hope.

Do you hide things well or do you have a guilty conscience?
I think I do both of those .... I'm guilty, but probably not guilty enough to get me to confess usually, so I guess I go with the whole hide things well thing. I actually am pretty good at hiding something if I'm bent on hiding it ... but sometimes there's that whole 'my emotions are apparently a lot more transparent than I'd imagined' thing of late. So ... yeah.

If there was true love on one side of the street and a million bucks on the
other?
True love. That's the idealistic, dreamy sort of answer, but ... yeah. Love over money, any day.

If your parents got divorced and you had to pick mom or dad to live with?
I suppose my mom, but that would suck. I love them both.

If you had to choose between having one family member or 5 of your closest friends die?
One family member, I guess, supposing that includes my entire family, including those people who are already pretty old and who I don't really know that well. Because if you take out 5 of my closest friends, I'm pretty much not going to have that many left, and they're all still young and full of promise ;) .

Do you think you could ever forgive someone who murdered a family member?
I suppose it would matter on the context and the family member, but it would be very difficult. For certain family members, I imagine it would be next to impossible.

The love stuff

Do you think you know the meaning of true love?
No, not really. I mean, I think there are still things about it that t.l. is waiting to reveal.

The last time you kissed someone was it someone you see yourself kissing again?
Not really. The whole, on different continents thing. Plus, although he was crazy attractive, ... well, let's just say he crossed some lines he shouldn't have.

Whats the most important part of a relationship in your opinion?
I don't know if I could pick out one ... it's kind of an entity. I mean, what's the most important part of a human being? There really isn't one ... it's sort of a combination thing. A perfect mix and melange of sorts.

If your parents didn't like the person you were dating would you lose em?
On principle, no, but I'd try to take into considerations their reasons, considering when you're in a situation, it's kind of hard to look at it objectively.

If your best friend liked your ex, what would you do?
HA, that would be highly unlikely. I mean, if anyone wanted to date him, I'd say good luck and I don't care, go ahead if you want.

Die in a fire or drown?
Drown.

Eat fried worms or chocolate ants?
Ants, I guess. I fucking hate worms.

If you survived a disaster would you rather have been on titanic or lived during the holocuast and be a jew?
Oh my goodness, the Titanic hands down. Not that I'm trivializing the Titanic, but my goodness, next to the Holocaust ... it's not much of a competition, is it?

If your boyfriend/girlfriend didnt like your best friend and told you to be with them or your best friend, who would you chose?
I would be extremely displeased with the situation and the ultimatum. I don't really do ultimatums ... they never give anyone what they want and they just cause bad blood for the future. But if it came down to it, I suppose I'd have to go with my best friend.

Would you rather be ditched or live with ditching someone?
Ditched. Believe me, the psych research says I'd get over it faster. =)

Kids then marriage or marriage then kids?
Marriage first.

If you had to choose between being blind or deaf which would you pick?
Blind.

Would you rather live in a tiny apartment with 5 other people or a huge mansion alone?
Aloone.

Would you rather date someone who had a car or a job?
Job.

The random stuff

Do you kick it with the same people always or new people?
Same.

How Many Peircings?
Ears six times total.

Do you see yourself as a "good" person?
Yeah, mostly.

Do you think best friends can be replaced?
No, not really. I suppose their position can be, but them as themselves, no.

Name 4 people *not family* that you can tell ANYTHING to:
Hillary, Tricia, Claire, Shirley.

Are you the type that would rather stay at other peoples houses or have them at yours?
My house.

HONESTLY- have you ever wanted to watch a scary movie with someone JUST to have an excuse to be close to them?
Ha sure.

9. Is your family the "eat dinner at the table" type or the "get your food and eat wherever you want" type?
Eat wherever you want, usually in front of the TV.

Have you ever hooked up with one of your ex's best friends?
No.

i should know better than to touch the fire twice

You have strong ability in processing information from its parts to its whole in a straight, logical, and progressive manner. This process enables you to handle certain tasks easily, such as following and comprehending the lecture of a professor. When given a task you do not have to ask "why" but have the ability to jump right in and complete it.

You have a moderate verbal ability. Using this method you process your thoughts and ideas with words. You tend to combine technical details with illustrations, depending on whatever strikes you. For instance, if giving directions, you might say, "Continue two miles east on Court Street and take a left at the McDonalds," combining the exact details of street names and mileage with prominent landmarks.

When processing information using this method, you may consider the information before you and produce a logical answer, or you may tend to go with your gut. You may discover that you can "guess" your way through S.A.T. questions about as accurately as you can deduce them. It is important that you nurture your ability to use logic whenever it is needed, but do not neglect other methods of processing information if you hit a logical roadblock.

The information you process may lack a basis on reality, but it does open the door to creativity. You do not show much focus for rules and regulations and do not adjust well to change in the environment. In fact, upon experiencing change in the environment, it spurs you to try to change (it) yourself instead of adjusting to it. Whenever you become emotionally involved in project you are more likely to learn and succeed.

When processing information, at times you are able to go with your "gut" instincts. At other times you may doubt your instincts, or prefer to put information together piece by piece to form your conclusion. You should be careful not to ignore your intuition, but at the same time do not solely rely on it.

You have some ability to process data randomly. You are at times able to make "leaps of logic" and discover unique things by thinking "outside of the box." However, you may tend to ignore your random processing thoughts unless you are desperate for a solution. It is important you recognize this skill as not grasping at straws, but a viable way to discover new ways of approaching a problem.

You have the ability to use both creativity and reality to process the information you receive. This is a unique gift that allows you to both focus on rules and regulations but to also act with creativity. You are able to adjusting to change, even though you might not like it, and you can become emotionally involved in your work if it interests you.

When you process information you have received, the real object is not important to you. You do not have to use the real object to make sense of what you have processed. For example, if solving a math problem you do not have to "draw out" the problem in order to find or understand the answer, and you do not have to visualize something to understand it. However, this also means you often neglect the physical information provided by a concrete example. In other words, you may miss the forest for the trees, trying to deduce something complex when the answer is plain to see.

You have difficulty seeing the whole picture, especially at the beginning of a project. You tend to process information you receive from its parts to its whole in a straight, progressive manner. When given a task, you tend to not bother asking "why," but instinctively are able to do it.

Take this survey

1) DRINKING BUDDIES OF THE YEAR? Roommates and family, mostly. Plus the group a little, too, I suppose....in the summer.
2) YOUR SONG FOR 2007 I'm supposed to pick one?? Oh lord. Let's see ... "To the Beat of our Noisey Hearts" by Matt Nathanson, or maybe "Misery Business" by Paramore, or the late entry "Merry Happy" by Kate Nash... Dude, I don't know. Picking ONE SONG over a year is really really difficult for me.
3) LIFETIME SERVICE AWARD (longest friend) - Tricia and Hillary.
4) NEWCOMER AWARD - COOLEST NEWEST FRIEND? Ann Marie.
5) HIGH POINT OF THE YEAR? Getting 100s on tests.
6) LOW POINT OF THE YEAR? The last few weeks of Spring semester. HELL.
7) BEST HOLIDAY? Of this year? Maybe Thanksgiving, I guess ... or Fourth of July. But maybe Christmas or New Years will pull it out, who knows. None of my holidays were particularly fantastic.
8) MOVIE FOR 2007? Loved Across the Universe, and Hairspray, and Superbad, and Knocked Up...
9) WHO DID YOU SPEND VALENTINES WITH? You know, I don't even remember ... oh WAIT, yeah. That. Spent it with no one, even forgot it was that day until an unlikely source reminded me and wished me a happy one.
10) BEST RELATIONSHIP? For overall improvement, probably the one with myself. Or with Jenny ... that one's really revolutionalized itself over the year, which is great actually.
11) WHAT WERE YOU FOR HALLOWEEN Nothing. Just make-up-ed.
12) RESTAURANT OF THE YEAR? Red Robin, I guess. Because I constantly crave their burger+strawberry lemonade combination now.
13) BIGGEST douchebag AWARD? A lot of people in my life that I would never have figured for it had very douchebag-y moments this year, but overall everyone's kind of redeemed themselves, so I'll refrain from awarding this one.
14) BEST DECISION MADE THIS YEAR? To take an intro Psych course for the hell of it. To reach for what I know I deserve, which is much more than I was settling for before.
15) WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS FOR NEXT YEAR? London, and making that great enough to make up for all that it has taken to get there, a summer hopefully of lab work but fun, and then just doing well in all my classes and applying to grad school.
16) MOST STUPID IDEA WHEN DRUNK To drink more and to eat so much pumpkin cake/pie/dump that I basically feel ill whenever I think of pumpkin anything nowadays ... or too much smoosh/butter/ .... ew. done.
17) TV SHOW OF THE YEAR? Pushing Daisies. Easily my favorite. Runners up are The Office, Kid Nation, and Heroes.
18) MOST LOYAL FRIEND? No one has been especially non-loyal.
19) BIGGEST CHANGE OF THE YEAR? Going away from pre-health. Going away from a long-ass affair with a veil of settling.
20) NEW YEAR RESOLUTION? Just to keep it up, to make 2008 a stellar year compared with 2006 and 7, which both kind of sucked.

Thoughts on PDA? Oh it's fine, just don't gross me out.
Do you own a cookbook? Yeah.

Do you enjoy them? Sure.
Would you play hide-and-seek? Nah. I never liked that game.
If you were to lose a limb...which one would you want to lose? Oh man, that's a shitty question. I guess left leg? Don't they make fake legs much better than fake arms...?
Is any religion correct? No. Not in my humble opinion. Spirituality is correct ... the rest of it is just man's different interpretations of it.
Do you return your shopping cart? Yeah.
Hows your driving? Fine. A lot safer since the accident. That'll do it.
Ever wanted to be an assassin? No thanks.
Your method? Of?
Strangest turn-on? The sort of scruffy dirty dangerous thing. It shouldn't be hot, but it so is.
When you meet a new person, how do you treat them? With optimism.
What are your immediate expectations of a person to get on your good side? I don't know exactly what that's asking.

Do you embrace your heritage? Sure.
What cultures interest you? Oh all of them really.

Ever had a spider bite? I don't think so.
What would you do in Nevada? Go to Las Vegas?

Think Hard Survey

TAKE THIS SURVEY!

Take this survey

How many keys are on your keychain? Four. Apartment and room key, mailbox key, and a safe key.
If you were given a canvas and watercolors, what would you paint? I'm feeling like something random like just mixing colors, but usually I go for landscapes.
What do you regard as the most repulsive form of music? I don't like 'music' that is just a shitload of random sounds thrown together, like screaming, then white noise, then a cow bell in the distance. NOT POETIC.
Whose mind, besides your own, would you like to control? Ooo, what a question to ask a manipulative person. Let's see ... I think in small ways there are a lot of things you can *influence* in a semi-control sort of way in people's minds if you play your cards right ... I don't know if I'd want full control over anyone else's mind. I kind of like the surprises people will be. Plus, I have enough of a life to manage without worrying about another's.
What is the most dangerous occupation? Oh, there are a lot that are dangerous, I'm sure. Soldier, cop, firefighter, you know ... lots.
What is the first thing you do when you get out of bed? When I get *out*? Probably go to the bathroom.
What do you consider the greatest threat to mankind? Probably mankind itself.
If you could project yourself into the past, where would you go? There are a lot of things I'd like to see and experience firsthand ... I don't know.
What are you thankful you are not doing right now? Freaking out about papers or tests. My finals is shaping up to be pretty manageable.
What is your favorite kind of candy? I really like chocolate with nuts in it, a la Mr. Goodbar ... and I'm partial to gummy things, like Sour Patch or gummy bears/worms ... And I like some candy bars, like Twix... Depends on what I'm in the mood for, I suppose.
What is your favorite thing about the beach? The calm. That you can just sit there and watch the horizon and *feel* it all.
If you were invisible, where would you go? I'd sneak myself on a plane and go somewhere I hadn't been, like Ireland or Japan or something. Oh, or into my professor's offices. I'd like to see how some of them act when alone.
What is one object in your home that you are embarrassed to own? I think if I were that embarrassed to own it, I'd get rid of it ... but the fact that I have a stuffed cat that breathes, meows, and purrs ... would probably offput some people. =)
Fill in the blank; When I dance, I look like: the coolest human being EVER. Ha, no ... I look like me, but dancing. Sometimes that's incredibly goofy, sometimes it's hot. You never know, man.
Who is one person you wish you would have never met? I guess in the end they all probably added something. You can't want to take away the bad or the uncomfortable ... because they all end up weaving together in a necessary way.
What is your favorite fruit? Probably bananas. Maybe sliced green apples.
What is your favorite kind of cookie? Frosted soft sugar cookies with sprinkles please! Which I may make this weekend...
If you were an evil dictator, where would you rule? I'd rather not be an evil dictator. I don't have the stamina.
What do you need to get right now at the drug store? I just went to the drug store for vitamins, so I'm pretty good for now ... if anything, I'd just pick up chips and popcorn.
What song do you keep hearing over and over again? "Runaway" by Janet Jackson in my head because I watched PopUpVideo online (!) today. Woooo for that decision. In real life? Umm ... Kiss Kiss.
What was the happiest age of your life? I was pretty happy around 17, but to tell you the truth, I think (I hope!) I'm entering another happy phase, so I'm thankful for that. It's been a kind of dark few years here.
What is your favorite piece of clothing that you own? Ooo, good question. I'll discount shoes as that would be unfair to my other clothing ... Probably this cute little dotted dark dress I have. It's very versatile and absolutely adorable. I don't get enough chances to wear it, for sure.
What two words describe your lifestyle? Winding ... and ... thinking.
Which ocean creature fascinates you most? Well they're all pretty fascinating, no?
On a scale of 1-10; how religious are you? I'm not very religious at all. I do believe in spirituality, but I see no reason for man to impose things upon that. I just don't see how that's an improvement.
What historical figure would you most like to have a discussion with? Oh, I don't know. Maybe Abraham Lincoln because I think there's a lot behind that. Or a womans rights fighter, like Elizabeth Cady Stanton and such. Would be interesting to get those viewpoints.
What color looks best on you? I like black and red. And I'm really into a plum-y sort of purple lately.
What is your favorite thing about being sick? Not having to do anything, like being able to catch up on movies and TV and such.
Whats new? With me? Um, not much really. Going to London in just over a month, which is a little scary, but exciting.
Why are you here right now? In this world of survey? Um, just felt like doing one.
What commercial do you find most annoying? I hate the Head On commercials, but who doesn't.
What was your favorite meal growing up? As long as it had mashed potatoes, I'm pretty sure I was happy.
If you had to spend the rest of your life in one place, where would it be? I really like NYC. I feel it gives you what you need of any place else.
Fill in the blank; I am so much smarter than: I could be.
What one person or thing reminds you of the 80s? Bright colors with block-y graphics.
What is college really good for? Growing up, man. That's really what it is ... some big experiment where you try out adulthood before you actually have to do it full scale.
Where is the most beautiful place you have ever been? I love Paris, I do.
What body part aches you the most right now? My back. I've been sitting funny again lately...I need to remind myself that, although nice in the moment, it backfire in the future.
When is the angriest you have ever been? Oh, I got pretty angry the other day, but that was retroactive. Um ... I don't know if I can think of one particular time. But one person ... yeah.
What do you waste your time doing? These? Internet, basically, if you wanted to sum it up.
On a scale of 1-10; how much do you trust people? Probably 8-ish. Depends on the person, though, obvs.
If you were forced to choose your own death, how would you die? Someway relatively quick, but not painless ... I don't know, I feel like you really have to experience death. It's the last corporal experience ... why would you deny yourself that? I mean, make it mean something, I guess.
On a scale of 1-10; how photogenic are you? Depends on the angle, the day, the photographer, my mood ... I'm a'ight.
What aspect of your personality could use a little work? Ha, wow. I can be slightly avoidant often.
What is your greatest addiction? Probably masochistic tendencies. Or going back to issues/people that should so be over. As far as materials ... I guess alcohol, but recent experiences have tempered that before it became a problem, I think. Maybe ice cream?
What issue are you sick of hearing about? The election, sadly. I just want to get past primaries and to the vote. I'm tired of all the speculation.
If you were a professional wrestler, what would your ring name be? Ring name? Never heard that term. And I'd never be, so no need to use the brain power to think of one.
What language would you like to master? I'd like to learn Latin.
What is your favorite dish at a Chinese restaurant? I don't really like Asian food ... um ... I guess just fried rice.
Who would you least likely expect a phone call from? Many people, most of them from the past.

Name one celebrity that has no right being a celebrity. Whatever. If you want the celebrity, go ahead and take it.
What hobby have you always wanted to pick up? Guitar, but I did that! Umm ... I don't know, I just kind of wish I stuck to things more than I do. I'm always afraid of getting bored.

to young and old, meek and the bold

Jessica, your Heart's Desire is 14/5

Freedom is essential for your happiness. You love change, new experiences, meeting new people, adventure and travel. You love the exotic, far away places. Variety is more than mere spice of life -- you thrive on it. You are extremely flexible and adaptable. You have more curiosity than the proverbial cat. You have a sharp mind and a natural ability with words. You are a born communicator, clear, fluent, and imaginative in every area that interests you -- which are many!

Your Heart's Desire makes you very well equipped for life. Change -- the only constant in life -- doesn't threaten you, as it does other people. You are highly resourceful. Generally, you can think clearly in a crisis; you have good mental and physical reflexes. Whenever you fall, you tend to land on your feet.

You are highly enthusiastic. You get excited easily over a new idea or opportunity. Your nature is unconventional. You are a bit of a gambler, taking risks whenever you think the rewards are worth it.

You are very socially oriented and rarely, if ever, dull or boring. You are, of course, drawn to those people who, like yourself, are original thinkers and have exciting personalities.

You enjoy being involved in several projects at the same time. You need continual stimulation by the new and fascinating. You tend to discard boring pastimes quickly.

Your love of freedom and change can have numerous consequences. You can be irresponsible, especially when it comes to finishing tasks. You have a hard time persevering at a given project and bringing it to completion.

You must be careful that your love of sensory pleasure doesn't lead you to excessive indulgence in alcohol, food, sex, and even drugs.

You are a bit of a hero and want to save the world. This causes you to make promises you often cannot keep. Down deep, you long to please everyone, an impossible goal.

Many 5s can be emotionally superficial. They feel love passionately, but fear making deep and lasting commitments. As a result, they resist the depths of emotional attachments and remain on the surface where it is safe.

You will experience many changes and unusual events, but you learn best through experience. Therefore, your life will be full and you will make great strides in personal growth.

i'm not in love, i just wanna be touched

LOVE QUESTIONS

If you opened it you have to start:
You must answer every question TRUTHFULLY or else you wont have <3 style="font-style: italic;">knowledge at first sight. Maybe the love comes afterwards, but the spark of it, the knowledge that it will happen, that can come at first sight.

[15] Would you kiss the last person you kissed?
Romantically? No. Unless he'd learned to do it better.

[16] At what age did you start noticing the opposite gender?
Ha, very early. There are stories of me kissing boys in Kindergarten, so ... yeah.

[17]Do you still like your ex??
No.

[18] Do you know someone who likes you?
Not in any particular sort of way.

[19] Do you like anyone?
Sure.

[20] Do they know you like/love them?
Nah. The only kinds of romantic liking I'm doing nowadays are professors/TAs (which obviously has to stay a certain level of secret) and random boys on the street/bus, so no.

Christmas Questions

Take this survey

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? Wrapping paper.
2. Real tree or artificial? Real please!
3. When do you put up the tree? Almost directly after Thanksgiving.
4. When do you take the tree down? Before New Years.
5. Do you like egg nog? Never had it.
6. Favorite gift received as a child? Every year pretty much there's a big present that I really enjoy. My parents have been pretty good at that.
7. Do you have a nativity scene? Nah. I mean, we have this little porcelain figures set, that I always like to set up, but we kind of don't do that anymore because they keep getting broken.
8. Hardest person to buy for? Oh everyone. I always freak out about it. What you buy for someone says a lot about you and what you think about them, so it's very important.
9. Easiest person to buy for? Well I would say I'm pretty easy to buy for in that I'll like most anything, but at the same time, it's all in from whom it comes, I suppose. No one's really *easy* to buy for. Except those you don't really know, so there's no need to worry about it seeming incorrect.
10. Worst Christmas gift ever received? Oh, I don't like getting underwear or socks. Or a bunch of random shit. I'd rather have one nice, little, thoughtful thing than what seems like a mixed bag you picked up somewhere.
11. Mail or email Christmas card? Mail. Come on.
12. Favorite Christmas Movie? White Christmas. And Rudolph, of course. Gotta love those misfit toys!
13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? When it enters my head. Usually after Thanksgiving.

15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? Christmas cookies. You know, sugar cutouts, frosted with sprinkles. Mmm.
16. Clear lights or colored on the tree? Colored.
17. Favorite Christmas song? "Baby It's Cold Outside", the version with Ella Fitzgerald. But I really like loads of Christmas music ... from classics like "White Christmas" (Bing Crosby, of course) to Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas Is You" and Sufjan Stevens' Christmas music ... it's all so good.
18. Travel at Christmas or stay home? STAY HOME. Pleeease.
19. Can you name Santas reindeer? Yeah, but probably only because of the song. 'You know Dasher and Dancer, and Prancer and Vixen ... Comet and Cupid and Donner and Blitzen ... but do you recall THE MOST FAMOUS REINDEER OF ALL??? Rudolph.'
20. Do you have an Angel on top or a star? Angel. Though we used to have a star ... hmm, I wonder what the whole pagan tradition story behind that is.
21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning? MORNING. Oh come on! Though I do think I like the idea of getting to open one small one on Christmas Eve. Just to up and extend the excitement a little!
22. Most annoying thing about this time of year? When it all starts a little too early. And how expensive it ends up being. And that finals are during it.
