taking the starlight before it disappears
1. It’s 2AM on the weekend, and you are not home. You are more than likely:
Out somewhere in the city.
2. What’s the last thing you spent more than $100 on?
My visa.
3. What do your bank checks look like?
They're just plain. I hardly ever write checks, so worrying about their design is not worth the energy.
4. Where did the shirt you are currently wearing come from?
The Gershwin Theatre (aka, Wicked).
5. Name something that is on your Christmas wish list
A guitar!
6. What color is your toothbrush?
Pink, but like a sort of maroon-y dark pink, not the baby kind.
7. Name something you collect.
Music, if anything.
8. Last restaurant you ate at?
I had cappuccino at Think yesterday.
9. Last person you bought a Birthday card for?
My dad, I think.
10. What is your worst bad habit?
Not keeping my hands off things that are bad for me.
11. Name a magazine you subscribe ?
I get EW and TVGuide, but I don't pay for either of those; they're leftover subscriptions that I enjoy more than the previous recipient would have. I don't actually pay for any magazines ... except, oh, Paste, if that ever starts coming.
12. Your favorite pizza toppings?
Just cheese, thanks.
13. Who’s number were you looking up the last time you used a phone book?
Well, I googled the BN Textbook store number. I don't remember the last time I used a phone book.
14. Who is the person that you love most?
I don't like to rank my love, thanks.
15. What is the last thing you cooked?
Hashbrowns.
16. Name something you wouldn’t want to buy used?
I don't really like to buy shoes worn in.
17. Which shoe do you put on first?
I don't think I have a pattern.
18. What is the last thing you remember losing?
My Metrocard, dammit. I had to buy a new one. Another $8 down the hole.
19. What is the ugliest piece of furniture in your house?
All of our furniture here is the same design. And for dorm stuff, it's pretty fine.
20. Last thing you bought and ended up returning?
I don't even remember if I've ever returned something. I usually think about shit a lot before I buy it, and then if it still ends up sucking, I kind of think by that point I deserve to have to live with it.
21. What perfume/cologne do you wear?
I don't really. Most of the time I just smell like my shampoo, which is cool.
22. Your favorite board game?
Sorry! Ha, I don't know man ... board games are good.
23. Last board game you played?
I played SceneIt awhile ago, if that counts .... there is a board involved!
24. Where did your vehicle come from?
Oh I don't remember the name of the lot, but it was used and somewhere back behind the whole A lkire area.
25. If a movie was made about your life what would the theme song be?
"Mouthwash" by Kate Nash.
26. You're sad, who can cheer you up easily?
A good deal of my friends, my parents, my pets, some music or movies.
27. What was the color of the bridesmaid dresses of the last wedding you went to?
Oh, I don't remember ... maroon? The color of the last one I wore was light green.
28. What house cleaning chore do you hate to do the most?
Dishes. If I don't know what's on them, I don't want to touch them. I have no problem doing mine.
29. What is your favorite way to eat chicken?
I don't eat chicken.
30. It is your birthday. You hope the cake is?
DQ Ice Cream, duh.
The "deep" stuff
Do you think you were well raised?
Yes. I think raising a human being (or anything really) is a very difficult task, so kudos to my parents for doing really well with it, I think.
Do you have a secret that you've never told ANYONE?
Yeah, but that doesn't necessarily that no one knows it ...
How do you handle stress?
Pretty well, actually. I think I went through some sort of hellish training camp (called a shitty year of life) and now I'm pretty well-equipped to deal with what seems like nothing in comparison. And compared to those I have around me to use as benchmarks, I'm off the charts for handling stress well.
How would you spend your last day alive?
Enjoying it, I hope.
Do you hide things well or do you have a guilty conscience?
I think I do both of those .... I'm guilty, but probably not guilty enough to get me to confess usually, so I guess I go with the whole hide things well thing. I actually am pretty good at hiding something if I'm bent on hiding it ... but sometimes there's that whole 'my emotions are apparently a lot more transparent than I'd imagined' thing of late. So ... yeah.
If there was true love on one side of the street and a million bucks on the
other?
True love. That's the idealistic, dreamy sort of answer, but ... yeah. Love over money, any day.
If your parents got divorced and you had to pick mom or dad to live with?
I suppose my mom, but that would suck. I love them both.
If you had to choose between having one family member or 5 of your closest friends die?
One family member, I guess, supposing that includes my entire family, including those people who are already pretty old and who I don't really know that well. Because if you take out 5 of my closest friends, I'm pretty much not going to have that many left, and they're all still young and full of promise ;) .
Do you think you could ever forgive someone who murdered a family member?
I suppose it would matter on the context and the family member, but it would be very difficult. For certain family members, I imagine it would be next to impossible.
The love stuff
Do you think you know the meaning of true love?
No, not really. I mean, I think there are still things about it that t.l. is waiting to reveal.
The last time you kissed someone was it someone you see yourself kissing again?
Not really. The whole, on different continents thing. Plus, although he was crazy attractive, ... well, let's just say he crossed some lines he shouldn't have.
Whats the most important part of a relationship in your opinion?
I don't know if I could pick out one ... it's kind of an entity. I mean, what's the most important part of a human being? There really isn't one ... it's sort of a combination thing. A perfect mix and melange of sorts.
If your parents didn't like the person you were dating would you lose em?
On principle, no, but I'd try to take into considerations their reasons, considering when you're in a situation, it's kind of hard to look at it objectively.
If your best friend liked your ex, what would you do?
HA, that would be highly unlikely. I mean, if anyone wanted to date him, I'd say good luck and I don't care, go ahead if you want.
Die in a fire or drown?
Drown.
Eat fried worms or chocolate ants?
Ants, I guess. I fucking hate worms.
If you survived a disaster would you rather have been on titanic or lived during the holocuast and be a jew?
Oh my goodness, the Titanic hands down. Not that I'm trivializing the Titanic, but my goodness, next to the Holocaust ... it's not much of a competition, is it?
If your boyfriend/girlfriend didnt like your best friend and told you to be with them or your best friend, who would you chose?
I would be extremely displeased with the situation and the ultimatum. I don't really do ultimatums ... they never give anyone what they want and they just cause bad blood for the future. But if it came down to it, I suppose I'd have to go with my best friend.
Would you rather be ditched or live with ditching someone?
Ditched. Believe me, the psych research says I'd get over it faster. =)
Kids then marriage or marriage then kids?
Marriage first.
If you had to choose between being blind or deaf which would you pick?
Blind.
Would you rather live in a tiny apartment with 5 other people or a huge mansion alone?
Aloone.
Would you rather date someone who had a car or a job?
Job.
The random stuff
Do you kick it with the same people always or new people?
Same.
How Many Peircings?
Ears six times total.
Do you see yourself as a "good" person?
Yeah, mostly.
Do you think best friends can be replaced?
No, not really. I suppose their position can be, but them as themselves, no.
Name 4 people *not family* that you can tell ANYTHING to:
Hillary, Tricia, Claire, Shirley.
Are you the type that would rather stay at other peoples houses or have them at yours?
My house.
HONESTLY- have you ever wanted to watch a scary movie with someone JUST to have an excuse to be close to them?
Ha sure.
9. Is your family the "eat dinner at the table" type or the "get your food and eat wherever you want" type?
Eat wherever you want, usually in front of the TV.
Have you ever hooked up with one of your ex's best friends?
No.
Out somewhere in the city.
2. What’s the last thing you spent more than $100 on?
My visa.
3. What do your bank checks look like?
They're just plain. I hardly ever write checks, so worrying about their design is not worth the energy.
